Folio, contemporary blind-stamped vellum over wooden boards, two metal clasps present, housed in custom chemise and morocco-backed slipcase, gothic letter, text in two columns, 66 lines, woodcut capitals, printer's device to colophon, historiated initials, portions of the text underlined in red. Second edition of one of the first substantial medical books by a living author. Manuscript notations to front pastedown, endpapers, and title page and light marginalia throughout in a contemporary hand; some professional repair to final leaf; a few very light brown stains; otherwise in exceptionally fine condition with only light wear to the boards. A fine mostly unsophisticated copy of this rare incunable.
