* An English Burl Walnut Traveling Desk, Bramah, London, retailed by Lloyd, Payne & Amiel of Manchester, the rectangular case having a hinged top and a drop-front with a leather inset writing surface, fitted interior and various accessories including an ivory page turner. Height 12 x width 16 3/4 x depth 10 1/4 inches. Estimate $ 500-700 Property from the Estate of Charles P. Wood, Chicago, Illinois Exterior of case in overall good, stable, complete condition. Having fairly even finish throughout with some surfacewear including light buckling to veneer, scratches and nicks. Top and front open smoothly, hinges intact. Leather to writing surface likewise intact, but upper portion with crease near bottom edge. Having five writing implements set to top, unsure if original to case. With two ink pots, leather bound diary, address book, with erasable engagements board and notepad, with leather bound blotter and calendar cards. Circa 1900. Lacking key.
