An Empire Gilt Bronze and Marble Mantel Clock, Gerard-Jean Galle,
cast with figures depicting Cupid, Apollo and Daphne before a fountain, the circular dial with Roman numerals signed Galle Rue Vivienne a Paris and set in a gilt bronze plinth with torches and swans at the corners, further raised on a marble plinth with four disk feet, having time and strike movement.
Width 20 3/8 inches.

Bronze figures in overall good condition without dents or losses; even, dirty patina throughout marble base with scattered chips to edges; includes pendulum and bell; no key; accepts winding and does strike; has not been examined by a clock specialist.
