* A Chinese Chippendale Giltwood Mirror,
having a pierced pagoda form crest above fluted columns surmounted by jardinieres issuing plants, centered with a vertical rectangular reverse painted Chinese plate of figures on a shoreline and having a border with birds amidst floral decoration, the frame ending with an arched bridge.
Height overall 28 x width 16 1/4 inches.

Plate in overall good condition without cracks. Some scattered losses to silvering. Reverse painting overall good, bright. Frame stable, with some areas of loss to gilt with gesso exposed. One small area of loss to lower central section. Some cracks and repairs to carved elements.
Frame appears later than plate. Frame likely late 19th/early 20th century.
Plate likely 18th/19th, but not examined out of frame. Additional images available upon request.
