*An American Ebonized and Ivory Inset Credenza, Herter Brothers, New York, circa 1870, having a stepped leather inset top over three ivory inlaid drawers above three paneled doors raised on carved webbed feet, the whole with incised and carved decoration throughout. Height 45 x width 55 1/2 x depth 20 3/4 inches. Estimate $ 8,000-12,000 Property from the Estate of Dr. Werner E. Leather inset tops possibly later, worn and stained. Carved elements all appear present. Scattered nicks and scratches consistent with age and use. Area with loss to finish on left door.
