2 volumes, 8vo. With engraved frontispiece portrait, 3 lithographed plates and one wood-engraved vignette. (Top edges slightly dust-stained; one plate spotted.) Original publisher's green cloth gilt (spines slightly sunned, some very minor rubbing or staining to covers). Provenance: Robert Rakes' Mutual Improvement Society (contemporary subscription library bookplates).
